HomeCoins is the data controller of the information you provide. You can reach our Data Protection Officer at privacy@homecoins.app.
2. Information we collect
Account info (name, email) from Tutors. Child profile data (first name, age range) created by the Tutor with parental consent. Task data, HomeCoin balances, and photos submitted as proof of completion. Basic usage analytics to improve the product.
3. How we use information
To operate the service, sync data across devices, notify you of approvals and rewards, prevent abuse, and improve HomeCoins. We do not use children's data for advertising. Ever.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. Limited sharing with service providers (hosting, email) under strict data protection contracts. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Children's privacy
We comply with COPPA (US), GDPR-K (EU), and LGPD (Brazil). A Tutor must consent before any child profile is created. Children do not log in independently — they use a profile within the Tutor's account.
6. Data retention
We keep data while your account is active and for a limited period after deletion to comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time.
7. Your rights
Access, rectify, delete, restrict, or port your data. Object to processing. Withdraw consent. Email privacy@homecoins.app — we respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies & tracking
Our website uses essential cookies only. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking cookies.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted on a need-to-know basis. We run regular security reviews.
10. Changes
If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email and in-app before they take effect.
