1. Eligibility & Accounts
HomeCoins is intended for use by families. The primary account must be created by an adult (18+) who acts as the Tutor for one or more child profiles. The Tutor is responsible for the use of those profiles.
2. Family Roles
Tutors create tasks, set HomeCoin values, approve completions, and control the Reward Store. Child profiles complete tasks, redeem rewards, and may request bonuses, subject to limits the Tutor configures.
3. HomeCoins & Parity
HomeCoins are an in-app accounting unit used between members of a family. They are not currency, not exchangeable outside the family, and have no cash value with HomeCoins as a company. The family-set parity is a private convention between Tutor and child.
4. Reward Store
Rewards listed in the in-app store are defined and fulfilled by the Tutor. HomeCoins does not provide or guarantee any reward. The store is closed by default and only available during windows opened by the Tutor.
5. User Content
Photos submitted as task completion proof are visible to the Tutor of the family. You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or that violates the privacy of others. You retain ownership of your content.
6. Privacy & Data Protection
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use information, including how we handle children's data with parental consent in accordance with COPPA and GDPR-K.
7. Prohibited Conduct
Do not abuse the service, attempt to reverse engineer it, use it to harm others, or use it for purposes other than family chore tracking and reward management.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
HomeCoins is provided "as is" during beta. We do our best to keep it working but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeCoins is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any reward not fulfilled by the family Tutor.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll notify Tutors of material changes by email and in-app. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which HomeCoins operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
